1906 May 25th           Salisbury – Accident in the Tunnel

Whilst a platelayer named Arthur Jacobs was working in Milford Tunnel yesterday (Thursday) morning, he was knocked down by a platelayer’s trolley, and one of the wheels passed over his left knee. He was taken to the Salisbury Infirmary where it was found that his leg was severely bruised, but after his injuries had been attended to, he was removed to his home at Eastleigh.
