1894 July 13th           Accident at Templecombe

An accident occurred at Templecombe late on Tuesday night to an excursion train returning to Worcester from Bournemouth. A Bridgwater train approaching on the same line crashed into a Pullman car, which contained 36 passengers. The car was damaged, as were also some other carriages, but the passengers escaped with a severe shaking. The train was stopped over the edge of a steep embankment.
