Rawlings, Sarah         1888 March 3rd         Trowbridge

On Tuesday an inquest was held at the Black Horse Inn, Upper Studley, before the Coroner (Mr F T Sylvester), on the body of Sarah Ann Rawlings, aged 67, wife of William Rawlings, labourer.

The deceased was in her usual health, and went to the Anchor and Hope Inn, charing. After breakfast she went about her work, and some time afterwards Mrs Hart, the landlady, not hearing her, went into the sitting room, and found her stretched dead upon the floor, with her sweeping brush in her hand.

The jury returned a verdict of “Death from syncope.”
