Cowzener, John       1888 September 1st       Westbury

On Tuesday an inquest was held at the Sun Inn, Westbury Leigh, before the coroner, Mr F T Sylvester, on the body of John Cowzener, aged 32, laborer, who was found on Saturday hanging by his neckerchief from a beam in a barn, at a place called Penleigh, not far from his house. The jury returned a verdict of “Suicide from temporary insanity.”
