Silcocks, Mary         1887 October 15th          Trowbridge

On Saturday the Coroner, Mr F T Sylvester, held an inquest at the Ship inn, on the body of Mary Hannah Silcocks, aged 60, wife of James Silcocks, a naval pensioner. On Thursday deceased became very ill, and next morning her husband found her dead by his side. The medical testimony was that the cause of death was ulceration of the coats of the stomach and consequent hemorrhage, and a verdict to this effect was returned.
