Farley, Jane       1887 September 10th         Heytesbury

An inquest was held at the Red Lion Inn on Tuesday, before Mr Sylvester (coroner), on the body of Jane Farley, aged 79, shopkeeper, and widow of the late Richard Farley, who had died on the previous Monday without having had medical advice.

The evidence showed that deceased had not enjoyed good health for a twelve-month. Mr W G Davis said he attended deceased about a twelve-month ago, when she was suffering from chronic bronchitis.

The jury, of whom Mr John Muspratt was foreman, returned a verdict of “Death from natural causes.” The deceased was much respected by all residents of the parish.
