Udall, George           1885 September 12th            Warminster/ Eversley

The body of a labourer named George Udall, 61, of Eversley, near here, who had missing from his home since the 30th ult., was discovered on Sunday in the pond at Sheerwater.

At the inquest held on Monday it was stated that deceased lost his wife about 12 months ago, and had lived in a cottage by himself since. His brother, Frederick Udall, falsely reported that he was intimate with a married woman, and this so affected his mind that on the 29th ult., he was heard to say he should not live long.

An open verdict was returned.
