Mead, Emma           1884 March 1st         Potterne

An inquest was held at Potterne on Saturday on the body of a little girl two years old, the daughter of Mr Thomas Mead, shoemaker, who met with her death on the previous day by accidentally falling into a brook which runs at the bottom of her father’s garden.

The jury returned a verdict of “Death by drowning,” and handed their fees to the parents.
