Lever, Thomas

Lever, Thomas                 1884 March 8th            Donhead St Mary

An inquest was held on Monday, at the Castle Inn, before Mr R A Wilson, on the body of Thomas Lever, a stone mason, of Swallowcliffe. It appears that deceased was returning home from Shaftesbury where he had been working, when near the village he was seen by a man named Charles Roberts, in a reclining position, apparently resting by the side of the road, but he was horrified to find the man was quite dead.

Dr Read gave it as his opinion that death was due to heart disease, and the jury returned a verdict to that effect.
