Casbird, Joseph

Casbird, Joseph         1884 October 18th            Chippenham

An inquest was held at the Bear Hotel, on Monday afternoon, by Mr Coroner Baker, on the body of Joseph Casbird, a coachman in the employ of Mr W Awdry, of the Paddocks.

It appeared that the deceased, who was over 70, was about as usual on Saturday night, and early on Sunday morning spoke to his wife, who later on found him dead. The jury having heard the evidence of Mr Briscoe, returned a verdict that the deceased died from syncope. They also gave their fees to the widow.
