Robinson, John ; Cook, Edward       1883 November 17th       Andover

Another dreadful accident occurred on Saturday last, on the loop-line now in course of construction near Fullerton station, by the falling in of the sides of a heading or cutting. Two men, named John Robinson and Edward Cook, who were working in the heading, were overwhelmed by the immense quantity of earth which fell in on them, and their dead bodies were not recovered until after three hours hard work.

At an inquest held at the White Lion Inn, Wherwell, on Monday, a verdict of “Accidental death” was returned.
