Ford, Thomas       1883 March 31st        Teffont Magna

A labourer named Thomas Ford, 60 years of age, was a few days since, at work quarrying stone in a quarry at Teffont Evias, when a trolly which had been used for conveying stone to an adjacent kiln, slipped from its moorings and fell into the quarry upon Ford. He received such injuries to his head that death was almost instantaneous. At the inquest subsequently held by Mr R M Wilson, a verdict of accidental death was returned.
