Wise, William             1882 April 22 Frome

An inquest was held at the Bee Hive Inn, Keyford, on Friday evening, before Dr Wybrants, coroner, on the body of William Wise, baker, aged 50, who was found by his wife dead in bed on Thursday morning last. From the evidence of the widow it appeared that he had complained of pains in the chest and side lately, the result he supposed of a strain. He woke at 8am, on Thursday, and got out of bed, and went to the window. He returned to bed and appeared to sleeping comfortably at half past five and also at half past six. A little before seven his wife called him, and found he was dead. Dr Sproule said he attended the deceased last year for heart disease, and he had no doubt that was the cause of death. Verdict accordingly.
