Vincent, Jane 1869 March 20th Bodenham
On Monday an inquest was held here before R M Wilson, Esq., on the body of Jane Ellen Vincent, aged 24 years. Ann Vincent, the mother of the deceased, said her daughter had been frequently subject to fits and fell at once when they happened. On Sunday morning she found the deceased lying on her face in bed. She made a slight struggle as witness raised her, and then died. Mr Darke, surgeon, of Salisbury, gave it as his opinion that epilepsy was the cause of death, and a verdict of “Died by the Visitation of God,” was accordingly returned.
