Unknown woman              1869 September 11th             Clarendon

On Sunday evening, Lieut-Col. Bathurst found the dead body of a woman floating in the pond in Clarendon Park. It was found to be that of a tramp, name unknown, who had been seen in the neighbourhood on the previous evening, in a state bordering on intoxication. She appeared to be a person nearly 60 years of age, and her apron was marked with the letters A.A., in red cotton, An inquest was held on the body on Tuesday, when a verdict of “Found Drowned” was returned.
