An inquest was held by Mr Wilson, on Thursday last, on the body of William Jannaway, aged 44 years, who died there on Wednesday from injuries received by falling down stairs on the previous evening. The deceased was a licensed victualler, and resided at Southampton, but was on a visit to some relations at Ditchampton, and as he reached the top of the stairs on going to bed, he fell backwards, and the injuries sustained resulted in death. The deceased was subject to fits. Mr Good, surgeon of Wilton, attributed death to apoplexy, and a verdict was given in accordance with the evidence.
