King, John

King, John              1868 September 12th      Fisherton Delamere

An inquest was held on Monday by R M Wilson, Esq., on the body of John King, who died suddenly on the previous day. The deceased was about 56 years of age, and had not been well for four years.

On Sunday morning, while in Mr Willis’s garden, near his own cottage, he complained of being faint, and his son gave him a little brandy, which appeared to refresh him for a moment. He then said, “I am gone,” and died instantly without a struggle. He had frequently complained of palpitation of the heart, after exertion. The jury returned a verdict of “Death from disease of the heart.”
